With another new anime season rapidly approaching us, it’s about that time when I take a look at what I hope to be watching. Information taken from TV Tropes and AniChart.net.
Ai Mai Mi ~Musou Catastrophe~
A second season for Ai Mai Mi, which will be another series of shorts. It’s gonna be weird, so I’m gonna watch it. Due to premiere 1st July.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei!
The Fate spin-off returns, with Illyasviel von Einzbern taking on the role of a magical girl again. The first season was great, so I’m looking forward to more. Airing from July 9th.
Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yattemita (Normal School Girls Tried Being Local Idols)
Or just Locodol for short. The translated title up there pretty much describes the entire premise of this anime. Hopefully we’ll get some decent music out of this one. Airing from July 3rd for 12 episodes.
Hanayamata
This one is a schoolgirl series, with a dancing theme. The main character is drawn into the world of yosakoi dancing by a foreign student who enrols in her class. Airing from July 7th.
Momo Kyun Sword
This is a take on the Japanese folklore hero of Momotarou. I’m not really familiar with Momotarou, but I don’t think that’s gonna stop me from enjoying this anime. Airing from July 8th.
Space☆Dandy 2
The only reason I’m watching this is because I watched the first half, and I want the full experience. I don’t think it’s the greatest source of humour in the world, though some episodes did have their moments. Airing from July 5th.
Tokyo ESP
I know this involves psychic powers, and not much more. Hopefully it will turn out to be something worth watching. Airing from July 11th.
Yama no Susume (Encouragement of Climb) Season 2
Couldn’t find any videos for this one… anyway, the episode length has been extended to fifteen minutes each. That’s good news, and the fact it will run for twenty-four episodes is pleasing. Airing from July 9th.
That’s all I have an interest in at the moment. Personally, I don’t think this season is as strong as recent ones. Still, I may find myself to be wrong by the end of it.
Oh, I’m also going to mention Kantai Collection. I’m not sure when it is supposed to air, but I will definitely be watching it when it does.
