Everything old is new again, or something like that, as apparently all the games I will be featuring here for this month – both honourable mentions and the main feature itself – are ones that have been released before in some form or other before this very month.
My honourable mentions this month come courtesy of Nintendo Switch Online; more specifically, the two Game Boy Advance titles added after the June 2024 Nintendo Direct: Metroid: Zero Mission and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords.
Metroid: Zero Mission is a remake of the very first Metroid, whilst A Link to the Past is the SNES classic and comes with the multiplayer Four Swords.
For the main feature here, we go back to Tokyo in order to recruit demons to our cause as the Nahobino.
SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI V: Vengeance adds new characters, demons and a story route to the original SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI V game.
Vengeance is the definitive version of SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI V. If you missed it the first time around, you are able to play the original SMTV story. But there is also the addition of the Canon of Vengeance route, meaning that there is a new experience for returning players, too.
Going to keep it relatively short this month, since we are more or less retreading familiar ground with these games. So that’s it for now; I shall get back to experiencing some Vengeance.
