Thoughts on Puella Magi Tart Magica: The Legend of “Jeanne d’Arc” Volume 4

Recently, the first half of Fate/Apocrypha was made available on Netflix. One of the key characters in that is Ruler, whose true identity is Joan of Arc. That depiction of La Pucelle isn’t the best one to come out of Japan, though.
I would say that honour goes to Tart, from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica spin-off Puella Magi Tart Magica. I have looked at the first three volumes before, and now I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the fourth.
There are four chapters in this volume of manga, starting with chapter thirteen and running through to chapter sixteen. Continue reading

Dragon Ball Super Episode 115: A Foe Worth Defeating

Last episode saw the introduction of a new warrior thanks to a certain pair of earrings, and we see how well she fares against Goku in this episode.
Oh, and episode 115 starts with a cameo from Kiyoshi Hikawa, the singer of the current theme song, ‘Genkai Toppa x Survivor’. Continue reading

Thoughts on My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness

Here’s another manga I picked up at Comic Con, and one that also happens to be one of Amazon’s best books of 2017. In fact, it has received lots of praise from pretty much everywhere, and there is a very good reason for that.
Nagata Kabi’s My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness is somewhat different from the manga I’ve shared my thoughts on before, as this one is autobiographical. It follows the story of Nagata Kabi herself, exploring subjects such as mental health, exploration of sexuality and growing up.
My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness was originally published on Japanese art website Pixiv, and later published by East Press in one print volume on June 17, 2016. Seven Seas licensed it in English and released it on June 6, 2017.
The single volume contains five chapters, plus a bonus chapter. Continue reading

KONOHANA KITAN Episode 6: Bloom Proudly

Eight days too late, KONOHANA KITAN gives us an episode that would have been perfect for Halloween. Doesn’t really matter, though, because KONOHANA KITAN has proven to be an amazing experience so far. Episode 6 is the story of a slightly odd night during Yuzu’s first summer at Konohanatei. Continue reading

Thoughts on Magical Girl Site Volume 2

I’ll now be sharing my thoughts on the second volume of Kentaro Sato’s Magical Girl Site. Just like before, this is something that I wouldn’t recommend for people who are easily upset.
The second volume contains six chapters – or ‘Enters’, as they are called – and goes from Enter.7 through to Enter.12. Continue reading
