Thoughts on Harukana Receive Volume 10

The final of the Valkyrie Cup arrives in the tenth and final volume of Nyoijizai’s Harukana Receive manga. Haruka and Kanata have seen some fierce competition, and now they face their biggest rivals.
This volume contains chapters fifty-six through to sixty-one.

FINAL SHOWDOWN!
Haruka and Kanata have successfully fought their way to the Valkyrie Cup finals! Their opponents are Narumi and Ayasa, their greatest rivals and the junior national champs for two years running. Can the girls win this intense match and take home the trophy? Find out in the final volume of Harukana Receive!

This is it; the showdown that Haruka and Kanata have been working towards all this time. They’ve gone through plenty of fierce matches, and now they face the duo who stand at the pinnacle: Narumi and Ayasa.
Their match is intense from the word go, and everyone involved gets at least a little bit of growth. In particular, Narumi gets some closure on her split with Kanata, whilst Haruka has to fight her self-doubt. But of course she has Kanata at her side to help her with that.

That growth also includes a few flashbacks, providing us a bit more insight on the girls. Some interesting stuff to be found there.

With much of this volume being focused on the match, there’s really not much else that can be said. However, with this being the final volume of the series, I can certainly share my thoughts on the Harukana Receive manga as a whole.
Love the depictions of the matches between the girls, and it is certainly a delight to see Haruka and Kanata grow as beach volleyball players with each match. The extended cast of characters are a fun bunch, too.
A really fun sports manga. Had a lot of fun with it from start to finish, and the anime adaptation is great, too.
