Whoa, it’s almost 2022. How time flies. Well, with a new year also comes a new anime season, which means I shall once again be sharing my picks of the shows I intend to watch for the first few months of the year.

Akebi’s Sailor Uniform
An anime about a girl getting into a specific school because she likes the sailor uniform. Definitely sounds like it will be a slice of life show, and I’m always up for watching those.

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2
The concluding part of Attack on Titan. As a manga reader, I am very much looking forward to seeing how the adaptation of the final chapters goes.

A show about 16 aspiring voice actors. Not the first time we’ve had a show about voice actors, though this one has a bigger cast.

Girls’ Frontline
An anime adaptation of the mobile game. I tried playing said game before, but couldn’t get it to work. I’ve gone through a couple of new phones since then, though, so perhaps I could maybe sort something out. Alternatively, I could go into this anime completely blind, and that’s looking like the more likely option.

In the Land of Leadale
Whilst I’m sure there are people out there who will roll their eyes at the prospect of yet another isekai anime, I have to admit that the trailer does make this look pretty damn funny. Definitely quite intrigued by this one.

Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department
Here’s another show that caught my attention, because it also looks pretty amusing. Seems like this season will be weighted towards comedy. Sounds good to me.

Police in a Pod
…and another comedy show. In this case, this one is about a female police officer who is on the verge of quitting her job, until she meets the new female director of her station. My interest is certainly piqued.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2
Princess Connect! Re:Dive returns for a second season. The first one was fun, and I expect this one to continue that trend. Looking forward to seeing more Pecorine and Karyl.

SLOW LOOP
Here we have a cute girls fishing anime. Not the first time I’ve watched one like this, but either way, I’m excited to see what SLOW LOOP gives us.

There are also a few short-form anime that will start airing that I’ll probably watch as well – you’ll see which ones when I do my usual “First Impressions” post. Also worth mentioning is Delicious♡Party PreCure. Of course I’ll be watching that when it starts airing, and very much covering it as well. But that will come a bit later on than the other shows listed here.
Also Magia Record will continue at some point, as will JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean – the latter of which I have watched on Netflix.
Looks like 2022 is going to have a fairly interesting start in terms of anime. Bleach‘s return towards the end of 2022 is also something I am very much looking forward to, but that’s for much later on.
