In the fourth episode of I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Azusa and her family attend a wedding. Of course, you can’t have a wedding without some drama.

Laika says she’ll be returning home
In this episode, Laika’s sister is getting married. Azusa, Laika and the rest of the family attend the wedding, which comes under attack from Blue Dragons.
Azusa initially is fine with letting the Dragons settle their differences, right up until her family is threatened…
This episode adapts three chapters: “We Went to a Dragon Wedding”, “The Great Dragon Battle”, and “Relaxing at the Hot Springs as a Family”. Assuming the bonus chapter doesn’t get adapted, this episode brings us right to the end of the first volume of the light novel series.

Azusa and family dress up for the wedding
This episode cuts a few small scenes from the light novel, so I’ll guess I’ll mention those. First, we have Shalsha talking about what love is, according to theology. She also goes into the four types of love. Haddaway would be proud.
In the anime, Azusa and the others have new dresses seemingly out of nowhere. They actually get them tailored in the light novel, during a trip to Flatta.
Moving on, the scene where Halkara gets travel sick. Several long spear boars attempt to attack Azusa and family in the light novel, but you could probably guess how that goes down.
Halkara still wants Azusa to kiss her in both versions, though.

Halkara, Azusa, and the twins watch as the dragons fight
Those are only small scenes in the light novel, though; a few paragraphs each at most. I guess the most important thing to take away from this episode is the introduction of a new character.

Azusa delivers a Witch Heel Drop
The leader of the Blue Dragons is Flatorte, and her reason for attacking the Red Dragon wedding? It’s quite petty. Either way, Azusa does not let them get away with it. Amusingly, Azusa is not the only one who deals with the Blue Dragon problem.

Flatorte in human form
Flatorte is so cute in her human form. Also another case of her voice being exactly how I imagined it, too. I like her a lot.
You know, in a way, you could consider Flatorte the Elma to Laika’s Tohru.

Guess I’ll squeeze in a screenshot the bride and groom

This is the kind of thing we’re all here for, though
The episode ends with some relaxation and family talk. Lots of great stuff.
Yep, I still adore this show. It’s an excellent adaptation of the light novel so far.
Fun episode with a new girl introduced who I’m sure will eventually become part of Azusa’s family harem. More importantly Laika grew closer to Azusa.
