As of today, 29/1/2021, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy has now launched on all platforms in all regions. I think. I mean, I know the Steam release came before the (European) console release, as I opted for the Nintendo Switch version.
Anyways, I pre-ordered the Premium Box some time ago, and I shall be taking a look at the contents in this post.First, the box that contains everything. It includes both physical and digital goodies, which I intend to show you here. Of course the most important item is the game itself, which looks a little something like this:As I’ve already mentioned, I opted for the Nintendo Switch version. The box art is consistent across all the platforms it is physically available for, featuring four very familiar faces. Well, assuming you’ve played Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, that is.
One of the first things you’ll find in the Premium Box, tucked away under the game, are two digital codes for new outfits for Ryza in game. I’ve already redeemed said codes, so here’s the outfits you obtain:The first one, as seen above, is the Sonnet of Dawn costume. The two outfits seen above are the Beware of Puni! T-Shirt and Blue Puni Costume T-Shirt respectively. These are exclusive to the console versions of the game.
Back to the physical goodies included in the box, next up we have this:The mini character acrylic charm is exactly that: an acrylic charm featuring Ryza and Fi. It’s cute.
The next items are a set of two. They are a pair of clear files: Key to the Ruins File and Character File. I don’t have much to say about the Key to the Ruins File, but I can definitely tell you that Ryza is looking resplendent on the Character File. Mind you, she always does.
On the subject of looking nice, next are a couple of A4 posters, featuring Ryza in something a little different from her usual attire.Klaudia also joins Ryza for one of the posters. Funnily enough, if you take a look at the product page on the Koei Tecmo Europe shop website, it doesn’t mention anything about A4 posters. I wonder if my relatively early pre-order is what secured me these. Well, either way, both are very nice. Hopefully there’ll be a way to obtain those outfits in the actual game.
We’re not quite done with posters yet though. Next one is a bit bigger, and also made of a different material. This is an Original Illustration B2 Cloth Poster. Again, familiar faces from the first game are featured. Not much love for the new characters introduced in Atelier Ryza 2 here, or that’s what it feels like to me. I guess it does keep spoilers to a minimum.
One final item, and again it is something to look at.It is Tao’s Research Notebook. What is Tao’s research? Art from the game, of course. No peek inside, as I won’t be taking a proper look until I’ve finished the main story of the game. Just to be safe, you know.
That wraps up everything you’d find in the Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy Premium Box. Some nice items in there, both physically and digitally.
I’ll probably be talking about the game again rather soon on this blog, what with my whole “Game of the Month” thing.
