Things are pretty peaceful in Crimonia, but a quick trip across some mountains soon results in Yuna finding more trouble in the tenth episode of Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. She’s visiting the ocean, and you know what that means: a port town, of course!
With a burning desire to eat some seafood, Yuna makes a trip to a port town to try and procure some in this episode. She finds that the town has a lot of problems it needs to deal with, and since Yuna can’t leave those who need help alone, she starts doing her thing.
This episode also introduces a character that I know certain people have been very eager to see for a while now.
You probably know the drill by now; Yuna makes a journey that would probably be impossible for a normal traveller, thanks to her bear powers. She does meet a couple from Millela who are about to succumb to the snowstorm, and saves them. That’s how Yuna, and the audience, learn about the problems that Millela is suffering through. Thanks, exposition couple.
There also seems to be something shady going on there, as well, as Yuna witnesses for herself.
After seeing her in the opening credits, we are finally properly introduced to Atla. She is the guildmaster of Milella, and that is totally tea she is drinking. She struggles to believe Yuna could cross the mountain, and then she checks her guild card…
You know, the typical reaction Yuna.
So yeah, Yuna arrives at a town in need and immediately sets to helping out. Pretty typical for Yuna, and you also have the typical faction who do not appreciate those kinds of positive changes going on in their turf.
Seeing Kumayuru and Kumakyu cowering when intruders approach Yuna’s bear house just doesn’t feel right to me. Well, whatever, I guess.
This was a fairly decent episode. Its nice to be formally introduced to Atla after seeing her appear in the opening credits. Other than that, things were pretty much what you would expect from Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Not necessarily a bad thing, though.
