Spring 2020 Anime: What I Will Be Watching

The winter 2020 season of anime was phenomenal, and now it is being followed by what will probably be a rather quiet spring season. That’s perfectly justified considering the state of the world, but we are still getting some anime to watch; at least for the time being.
So, as usual, here’s the shows I plan to watch during the spring, with information on them taken from LiveChart.me.Diary of our Days at the Breakwater

Also known as Houkago Teibou Nisshi. The prerequisite cute girls doing cute things anime of the spring season is one that focuses on fishing. I imagine that this has the potential to be quite a chill show.
Diary of our Days at the Breakwater starts airing on April 7th.

Dropkick on My Devil! Dash

The first season of Dropkick on My Devil! managed to win my over by the time it had ended (though perhaps not quite as much as other shows that aired around the same time), so I’ll be checking out the second season. Mostly just to see Medusa again.
Dropkick on My Devil! Dash starts airing on April 6th.

Baseball is just another sport that I indifferent about, but anime has a pretty good method for getting into things I might not otherwise watch: cute girls. My only other baseball anime experience so far has been Cinderella Nina, so it will be interesting to see how this one compares.
Tamayomi starts airing on April 1st.

So yeah, with just three new shows airing that I definitely plan to watch, the spring 2020 anime seems like a good time for me to step outside of my usual comfort zone and watch a few shows I might not have picked up otherwise. They are as follows:

Argonavis from BanG Dream!

Basically the male version of BanG Dream!. I don’t know how seriously it will take itself, but ideally we’d get bands like Show By Rock!!‘s ShinganCrimsonZ or DOKONJOFINGER. Going by the PV, though, probably not. Still, I do quite enjoy music anime, so I’ll be checking this one out.
Argonavis from BanG Dream! starts airing on April 10th.

BNA, or Brand New Animal, is a new anime project from Trigger. Trigger’s anime is always a visual treat, and it will be interesting to see if BNA will live up to that.
BNA starts airing on April 8th.

Another show with music a central theme, and one heck of a cast, too. Seems like it could be quite interesting.
Listeners starts airing on April 3rd.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!

That PV heavily pushes the reverse harem angle of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, but apparently the main character has guys and girls alike falling for her. Also, yet another isekai anime, because it seems people are growing increasingly sick of the real world…
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! starts airing on April 4th.

That fills out the list of shows I am watching quite well, though it is always possible that I could pick up more or even drop something. We’ll just have to see.

Shows I’ll be continuing to watch that started in previous seasons are: One Piece, Healin’ Good PreCure, BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, Aikatsu on Parade! (which is becoming a web series, or something like that), My Hero Academia Season 4 and A Certain Scientific Railgun T.

That covers what I plan to watch for the upcoming spring season.

As always our watch lists are quite similar. Not much to add. Perfect excuse to work on backlogs or games.
