Symphogear XV‘s final act is in full swing now as we draw ever closer to its conclusion. It has been one heck of a ride so far, and episode twelve is no exception to that.
She’s back!
In this episode, Carol confronts Shem-ha on Earth. On the moon, meanwhile, the Wielders have one more threat to neutralise, and then the small task of finding their way back to Earth.
Shem-ha
Carol confronting Shem-ha on Earth seems to happen roughly the same time as Tsubasa and Maria fighting Millaarc on the moon; either way, it is quite a spectacle as what are effectively two final bosses clash. It is always a pleasure to see Carol again, so this episode is already off to a brilliant start.
Vanessa
With two members of Noble Red defeated, it is Vanessa’s turn to fight. Her opponents are Hibiki and Chris, and of course Vanessa has been powered up thanks to Shem-ha.
Hibiki grabs Chris
We may not get a duet from Hibiki and Chris, but just like the previous Noble Red fights, it is time for one more Amalgam to make its debut.
Chris’s Amalgam
It probably won’t come as a surprise that Chris reveals her Amalgam at last; after all, she was the only one who hadn’t so far. Of course her weapon takes the shape of a bow, as befitting her preference for long-range combat.
Hibiki practically screams her transformation chant
Events happen that require Hibiki to transform a second time, and it is quite possibly one of the most intense transformations we’ve had from Symphogear, with Aoi Yuuki screaming the transformation chant.
The girls sing their swan song
This episode ends in stunning fashion, getting everything set up for the final episode next week. Another fantastic episode of Symphogear; something I’ve been saying consistently. Symphogear just delivers week after week.
An incredible episode, but also one that was build up towards the finale. Things are going to be very interesting next time.

Alas poor Noble Red. They too fell to the “sympathy villain curse”. Thank you for everything ladies. Maybe you’ll get a Force Spirit cameo like Saint-Germain in the finale.
Christopher and Tsubasa completing their character arcs was wonderful. Still hoping Tsubasa gets Maria snuggles on screen.
Speaking of, I am so ready for the finale my friend.
