Aikatsu Friends! Shining Jewel Episode 6: Star Romance Wars

Aikatsu Friends! Shining Jewel just keeps delivering amazing episode after amazing episode, and the sixth one is no exception to that rule. Pure Palette decide to face the one thing they fear the most in order to give Hibiki the courage she needs to reunite with Alicia: Love Me Tear.
There’s actually quite a lot going on in this episode, so I’ll just stick with the highlights rather than recapping everything.

Karen

Karen returns

We have the return of Karen Kamishiro, which means that both members of Love Me Tear are now back in the same place. Actually, Karen plays a key part in helping Hibiki regain the resolve to face Alicia once more.

I Believe

Flashbacks of I Believe are scattered throughout this episode

This episode also reveals the name of the Friends that Hibiki and Alicia went by when they were back together: I Believe. There are various flashbacks to I Believe’s past during this episode, giving us even more insight into the relationship between Hibiki and Alicia before they broke up.

Love Me Tear

Love Me Tear

I’ve already mentioned Pure Palette facing Love Me Tear. They end up competing for roles in a sci-fi film called Star Romance Wars. No prizes for guessing what sci-fi franchise that is based off of.
The roles up for grab are a prince and princess who are madly in love. Pure Palette and Love Me Tear offer up different takes on the roles, with Hibiki watching on. As she watches, she is reminded of something similar she done with Alicia before.

Pure Palette & Love Me Tear

The final scene

Every scene during the audition is a highlight, but I’ll hold back on sharing them all. Instead, I’ll just focus on the last scene of the audition, which is a wedding scene. After the audition ends, the director decides that both Pure Palette and Love Me Tear pass, and decides that the script needs to be rewritten.

Alicia

Alicia does not intend to make it easy for Hibiki to reunite with her

Finally, Hibiki gains the resolve to travel to the Principality of Solvette, so she can face Alicia once again. She asks that Pure Palette accompany her; Aine agrees straight away.
However, word of that reaches Alicia, and she declares that they are not allowed entry into the country.

What an amazing episode of Aikatsu Friends! Shining Jewel. It’s great to see Love Me Tear back together again, and their reunion came along with an excellent episode for all characters involved. Love Me Tear, Pure Palette and Hibiki all shone brightly here.
We even got an insight into I Believe’s past, and I am very much looking forward to seeing what will happen when Hibiki is finally able to confront Alicia again.

There is a lot of exciting stuff going on Aikatsu Friends! as of late. It seems that the awakening of any more jewels will have to wait for a little while, but I am fine with that. Hibiki’s story has been extremely compelling so far, and that seems to be bringing out the best in all the characters involved as well.
I believe that I Believe will be able to reunite eventually, with a little help from Love Me Tear and Pure Palette.

Next time, Pure Palette prepare to go abroad.

I believe I Believe. I think you should have omitted “that” from the sentence.
