Thoughts on Magical Girl Site Volume 8

I shall once again be taking a look at Kentaro Sato’s Magical Girl Site manga, with the eighth volume giving us plenty more mysteries and dire situations. Basically more despair for the magical girls.
This volume eighth volume of Magical Girl Site contains chapters fifty through to fifty-five.

A riddle wrapped in mystery
Aya and her friends have successfully captured a manager! But when their captive’s body unexpectedly changes, they are left with more questions than answers. Just who – or what – are the managers?

In this part of the Magical Girl Site manga, the magical girls discover a unexpected truth about the site administrators. However, it is a truth that only gives them more questions, and answers aren’t so easy to find.

Before the plot continues on, there are a couple of chapters that take the time to delve into the past of a few magical girls, detailing the events which led to them receiving their wands. Of course, they are all traumatic events.

Alice comes up with a plot for the magical girls to go after more site managers, but before that Aya decides to spend some time with Tsuyuno. This leads to an important development for their relationship, though considering their circumstances…

Then things go wrong in spectacular fashion, and there is no backup plan. It seems that certain magical girls may not have exactly been allies…

Oh, I guess I should probably mention Aya’s brother, Kaname, is still very much a part of the story. He actually does a fairly important thing, and happens to uncover a bit of information about the aforementioned certain magical girl in the process.
Whether that information will get to the other magical girls remains to be seen.

This was a particularly good volume of Magical Girl Site. Even the stuff with Kaname is notable, but most importantly for this volume is what happens between Aya and Tsuyuno.
We also have the revelation of the truth about the managers, which is quite important – especially as further information is uncovered. That may all just tie in with a certain magical girl’s plan, though.
