Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Wishlist

Fighters PassThe final Super Smash Bros. Direct presentation before the release of the game itself has aired, and brought along with it plenty of new details about the game. Piranha Plant is a great addition to the cast, and World of Light looks very good as well. However, my focus here will be on the Fighters Pass: 5 DLC characters that will be added to the game in the future.
Knowing that five more characters will be added to the game, I have decided to share my top picks. Since each character will also come a new stage and some music tracks, I’ll also include ideas for those as well.
Some fans have suggested that certain characters being Assist Trophies or Spirits means that they will have no chance of being DLC. However, nowhere has it been stated that this is the case, and it’s a particularly absurd claim when you consider that there is probably going to be a huge number of Spirits.
With that said, I shall now share my five picks for the Fighters Pass.MóragMy first pick is Mórag, from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Rex, Pyra and/or Mythra are probably more likely, but I’m going to go with my personal choices over what I think is most likely. After all, I can handle it if my chosen characters don’t make it in.
Anyways, Mórag is easily one of my favourite characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and everything about her is just great.
If the Special Inquisitor from Mor Ardain makes it in, the stage she’d have to bring along with her can be none other than Mor Ardain – it might be fun fighting on the rooftops of Alba Cavanich.
As for the music, ‘Roaming the Wastes ~ Mor Ardain’ is perhaps one of the best tracks from any Xenoblade game – though it might already be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Any Xenoblade Chronicles 2 song could already be in the game, though we only got to see a snippet of the Xenoblade song selection during the Direct. ‘Exploration’, ‘You Will Recall Our Names’ and ‘Counterattack’ would all be very good choices, though.

ShantaePick number two has to be Half-Genie Hero, Shantae. She is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Spirit, but as I have already said, that doesn’t in any way disqualify her from being DLC. With various transformations and magic items, Shantae has plenty to give her a fairly diverse moveset. Throw in the items she acquired and used during Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, and there’s more than enough options for her.
As for a Shantae stage, why not the place where every one of her game begins: the Lighthouse. The place is Shantae’s home, after all.
Music wise, Christina Vee’s ‘Dance Through the Danger’ would be my top pick. ‘Neo Burning Town’ and the boss battle theme from Half-Genie Hero would also be good.

KarisIsaac may be an Assist Trophy, but I don’t see why that should stop him from being a potential DLC fighter. However, he is not the Golden Sun character I would pick. My choice would be Karis from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. She is the daughter of Ivan, and possesses Jupiter Psynergy which allows her to conjure up strong winds and lightning.
The stage I would pick here would be Belinsk Ruins, or the Eclipse Tower itself – said to contain similar power to the four elemental lighthouses from the first two games.
As for music, Golden Sun‘s main theme is an excellent track. It also has some excellent battle themes. A couple of Golden Sun songs have managed to make their way into previous Super Smash Bros. games as well, so I would certainly like to hear more.

LinkleA character I would like to see more of is Linkle, from Hyrule Warriors. She could make use of her dual crossbows and pegasus boots. There were some great original characters created for Hyrule Warriors; it would be nice to see them get more love. Linkle would be by top pick, but Lana makes a very strong argument as well.
Faron Woods is where Linkle’s tale starts in Hyrule Warriors, so why not have that be her stage? The battle could take place around the Deku Tree. Perhaps have a Great Fairy appear from time to time to affect the stage in some way.
Linkle’s theme offers an excellent alternate take on The Legend of Zelda‘s main theme, so that would be my top pick for a music track. Just throw in a bunch of Hyrule Warriors music and I would be happy.

AsukaPerhaps it is just because I am watching SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI MASTER in the current season of anime, but I think that Asuka would be a good addition to the roster. For anyone who thinks otherwise, I’ll just direct your attention over to Bayonetta. I’d imagine Asuka’s clothes would stay intact if she does make it into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that would be fine with me.
The stage could Hanzo Academy’s Ninja Room, or maybe the very same rooftop where Asuka fights Homura at the end of Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson.
For music, I would go with ‘The Duty of Good’, ‘Pride of a Good Shinobi’ and ‘To Resist the Path of Evil Shinobi’. Those three are all tracks from Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson.

There we have it, five characters that I would like to see added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC. I know that the chances of any of them getting in is very unlikely, especially as there are only five spaces and almost limitless possibilities. Presumably the characters that do get chosen will be the faces of their respective franchises.

I’ll finish this list off with some honourable mentions: Crono from Chrono Trigger, Aile from Mega Man ZX, Amaterasu from Okami, Karate Joe from Rhythm Paradise and Sheena Fujibayashi from Tales of Symphonia.
