Autumn 2018 Anime: What I Will Be Watching

As yet another season of anime bears down upon us, it is about that time that I share with you what I intend to watch.
Information is taken from LiveChart.me, and I’ll be using English translations of the titles where applicable. This upcoming autumn season has a lot of potential going for it, so needless to say I am looking forward to it.
The premiere dates I mention here may not necessarily be accurate, so that is something to keep in mind.

Ace Attorney Season 2

It will be covering the third game, Trials and Tribulations. Whether it will do it justice or not remains to be seen.
Ace Attorney Season 2 will start airing on October 6th.

Anima Yell!

Whenever a girls club anime air during a season, you can always expect me to watch it – and Anima Yell! is no exception to that. The club in question for this show is a cheerleading club, and the PV shows off some cute and amusing moments.
Anima Yell will start airing on October 7th.

Bloom into You

A much anticipated yuri anime. I’ve been collecting and reading the manga so I know what to look forward to – and I guess that gives me a decent reason to cover it weekly as well. Actually, that reminds me… I have volume 5 of the manga sitting there unread. I’ll need to change that before this show airs…
Bloom into You is actually a birthday present for me, as it starts airing on October 5th.

Fairy Tail (2018)

The final series of Fairy Tail – unless they decide to adapt the sequel manga, Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest. My reason for watching this is pretty much just one character: Wendy Marvell. When the time is appropriate, I may just write a post about her.
Fairy Tail (2018) will start airing on October 6th.

The Girl in Twilight

Also known as Akane Sasu Shoujo, the PV for this one has got me very intrigued. It definitely looks like something that appeals to me, hence the inclusion on my watch list.
The Girl in Twilight starts airing on October 1st.

Himote House

A short-form anime about five girls and a cat. That set up has already got me intrigued.
Himote House starts airing on October 7th.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

The fifth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which is set in Naples and focuses on Giorno Giovanna trying to rise to the top of the Passione mafia group and turn it into a band of honourable thieves.
I’m most looking forward to this simply because it means we are one step closer to Stone Ocean, and Jolyne Cujoh.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind is another birthday present for me, as it starts airing on October 5th.

Ms. Vampire Who Lives in My Neighbourhood

Also known as Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san, I’ve seen people describing this as Kiniro Mosaic with vampires. Well, that’s me sold on this one then.
Oh, hey, a third birthday present. This one starts airing on October 5th.

Our Maid is Way Too Annoying!

An anime about a lolicon maid and her attempts to get near second grader Misha Takanashi. I don’t really know what more to add here, but I’ll be watching this show regardless.
Here’s yet another show that starts airing on October 5th. Fridays are going to be packed full (assuming these shows do actually air on these days).

Release the Spyce

A spy series from the creator of Yuru Yuri. I needn’t say any more, I am definitely going to watch this show. Since I covered another spy show – Princess Principal – back when that aired, I feel it is only right I cover this show as well.
Release the Spyce starts airing on October 6th.

Senran Kagura Ninja Flash: Shinovi Master

The second season of the Senran Kagura anime. It will be nice to see the ninja girls return, except maybe for Yumi. I know that Japanese fans absolutely adore her, but she’s never really held any appeal for me. I care much more for Asuka, Homura and Mirai.
Senran Kagura Ninja Flash: Shinovi Master starts airing on October 12th.

The Space Between the Sky and Sea

With fish disappearing from the sea around the world, the Ministry of Fishery set up experimental Universe Fish Tanks in space. This anime focuses on six new space fisherwomen and their growth. Sounds quite interesting.
The Space Between the Sky and Sea starts airing on October 3rd.

Zombieland Saga

It’s been a little while since I have watched a zombie anime show, so here’s one to tick off that box for me. The PV doesn’t really give too much away, besides the whole zombie thing. Still, I’ll check this show out. Seems like it could be fun.
Zombieland Saga starts airing on October 4th.

That covers pretty much everything I intend to watch for the autumn season. Of course, I’ll also continue watching One Piece, BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, Attack on Titan Season 3, Aikatsu Friends! and Hugtto! PreCure.
Unfortunately, Kiratto Pri☆Chan will have to go on indefinite hiatus, with very little sign of anybody subbing it.

My coverage of Aikatsu Friends! and Hugtto! PreCure will continue as normal. I am thinking of also covering Bloom into You – as I am a manga reader – and Release the Spyce. I may or may not add at least one more to that list, but that pretty much depends on how each first episode goes.
Of course, my watch list is subject to change as well. I’m most likely to add something to it, but there is always the chance I’ll drop something.

I look forward to seeing what the Autumn season has in store for us.
