A new season of anime draws ever closer, and as such it is time for me once again to pick out what shows I want to watch. I’ll be referring to AniChart and LiveChart for information about each show.
Asobi Asobase
Going by the PV alone, this show looks quite silly. I quite enjoy silly shows, so that’s why I’ll be watching this show.
Asobi Asobase will air on July 8th.
Attack on Titan Season 3
I watched and enjoyed the first two season of Attack on Titan, so of course I’ll be watching the third one as well. I have been following the manga, so I’m pretty excited to see certain events get animated.
Attack on Titan Season 3 will start airing on July 23rd.
Cells at Work!
I’ve been collecting the manga of this series, and I have said before that I would love to see it animated. That is exactly what is happening, and I am really looking forward to seeing it. Most notably, it is being produced by David Production – the same people responsible for the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime.
Cells at Work! will start airing on July 8th.
Chio’s School Road
Here’s another show that seems like it will be on the sillier side of things. It’s just a simple story about a girl going to school.
Chio’s School Road will start airing on July 6th.
Dropkick on My Devil!
Getting a fair amount of comedy shows this season, though whether they will all actually be good or not remains to be seen. Apparently this is a violent slapstick comedy – I’m willing to give this one a chance.
Dropkick on My Devil! starts airing on July 10th.
Encouragement of Climb: Third Season
More Encouragement of Climb something I am very happy for, and I can’t wait to see what mountains that Aoi, Hinata and the others conquer next.
Encouragement of Climb: Third Season will start airing on July 3rd.
Hanebado!
This show is one that I will be approaching cautiously, because it might end up going down the same road as Two Car. If that does happen to be the case, then I’ll be dropping this. If not, than this might actually turn out to be a half-decent badminton anime.
Happy Sugar Life
We’re getting to see more and more yuri anime these days, and this is another one. It might not exactly be light and fluffy, but I’m up for giving this a chance.
Happy Sugar Life starts airing on July 14th.
Harukana Receive
It’s a beach volleyball anime. Whilst I’m taking a cautious approach to Hanebado!, Harukana Receive is one that I no reservations about watching.
Harukana Receive starts airing on July 6th.
Music Girls
It’s an idol show, so I’ll probably enjoy this one. That’s why I’ll be watching it.
Music Girls starts airing on July 7th.
Shoujo ☆ Kageki Revue Starlight
This one looks particularly good. It is about a song and dance revue troupe, and two girls who made a promise to perform on stage together. This is probably amongst my most anticipated shows of this season.
Shoujo ☆ Kageki Revue Starlight will start airing on July 13th.
That pretty much covers everything I want to watch during the summer season of anime.
I’ll be covering Cells at Work! during the summer, as I have been collecting the manga. I might cover Harukana Receive as well, because I think it might be fun to cover a sport anime.
Finally, Shoujo ☆ Kageki Revue Starlight also looks very good, so that is one that I can see myself wanting to talk about. The three aforementioned shows are also the ones I am most looking forward to.
I will continue to watch One Piece, Aikatsu Friends!, Kiratto Pri☆chan, Hugtto! PreCure and My Hero Academia Season 3. My coverage of Hugtto! PreCure will continue as normal – it’s just been far too good to not speak about lately.
Most of the shows with a female lead both of us will be watching or in Dropkick and Hanebado’s case be cautious with.
