Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko Episode 11: Shine Brightly for a Moment

In the eleventh episode of Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko, Kanami and her allies make their way through the enemy’s base in order to get to Yukari Origami. Of course, the path won’t be that easy; they’ll have to deal with the elite guard before getting to the boss. Let’s see how they fare.

Storm armour

Kanami and the others equipped with storm armour

Mere moments after arriving, one of the elite guard is already there to greet them. It is Yume, and she decides to fight Kanami – after all, Kanami is the strongest.

Ellen and Kaoru

Ellen and Kaoru stay behind to fight Yume so the others can press on

Though Kanami enjoys fighting Yume, her battle is cut short when Ellen and Kaoru interrupt. Mai decided that it is vital for Kanami and Hiyori at least to make it to great aradama, which is why Ellen and Kaoru remain behind.

Satsuki

Satsuki appears

As they move on, Mai has doubts about her choice – but Kanami is quick to reassure her. They are then interrupted by the next member of the elite guard, Satsuki. Mai and Sayaka remain behind to fight her.

Maki and Suzuka

One final obstacle before the great aradama: Maki and Suzuka

Kanami and Hiyori end up having to fight Maki and Suzuka once more. I won’t go into the details of each fight here, but I will say I had fun watching all of them.

President Takatsu and Satsuki

President Takatsu tries to get Saaya to go back to her

It’s not just Satsuki that Mai and Sayaka have to deal with. President Takatsu arrives and tells Sayaka to serve Yukari. Sayaka doesn’t want to do that, and Mai certainly has no intention of letting it happen, either.

Yume

The fighting takes its toll on Yume

We’ve seen that Yume isn’t exactly in the best of health, and sure enough all the fighting only makes her condition worse. All she wants is for people to remember her – unfortunately, there is no more she can do now.

Yukari

Yukari appears

We end with Yukari appearing, ready to fight the challengers who stand before her. We’ll have to wait until next time to see how that unfolds.

I really enjoyed this episode. I expected there to be action in this episode, and it certainly delivered that. For me, I’d have to say Yume’s fights were my favourites.
Talking of Yume… I’m sad to see her go – if she has gone. You never really know with these things. Though considering the flashbacks we got of her earlier life, it’s not looking good.
Well, I will certainly remember Yume regardless of what her fate is, and that’s all she wanted in the end.

I was crying so hard….I really liked Yume. And my gosh. Her family completely abandoned her when she was still a kid just because she couldn’t fulfill the Toji line or whatever. They’re the freaking worst. It’s no wonder she ended up how she did T_T
