So as is tradition, Maho Girls PreCure! will be getting its own film. Details for the film have been revealed, and I’d figure I’d share them here. This is definitely one for the Mofurun fans.
There will be two parts to this film: a short called Cure Miracle and Mofurun’s Magic Lesson and the main feature, Maho Girls PreCure! The Miraculous Transformation! Cure Mofurun!
I’m already looking forward to seeing this film just from that title alone. There is also a trailer and a visual, which I’ll be sharing here. There’s also a website for the film, click here for that.
The plot of the feature film has Mofurun chosen by the Stone of Wishes – a stone that grants any wish every 100 years – and gaining the ability to transform into a PreCure.
The film’s theme song, “Tadashii Maho no Tsukaikata”, will be performed by AKB48 member Mayu Watanabe (Mayuyu).
The film is due for release in Japan on October 29th. Of course, those of us not in Japan will have to wait a while longer to see this, I’d guess probably some time next year…
Putting aside the long wait, I’m really looking forward to seeing this. Mofurun is definitely one of the best mascot characters in the franchise (Hummy’s still the best, though), and she is certainly worthy of gaining a Cure form. It’s just a shame that the films are non-canon for the most part; it would be pretty neat to see her fighting alongside Miracle, Magical and Felice in the main series.
