Is the Order a Rabbit?? (take note of the two question marks) is the second season of the adaptation of Koi’s manga Is the Order a Rabbit?. It is a slice-of-life anime with twelve episodes. This second season was co-produced by the studios White Fox and Kinema Citrus.

Both seasons are available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
As is usually the case with slice-of-life anime, there is no plot. In fact, everything covered in the first season’s review linked above pretty much can be repeated for this season too. However, there are a few elements where the second season improves over the first.
One of those things is more screentime for particular characters – Chino’s friends Mayu and Megu are the best example of this. Maybe it just helps to add to the overall ‘cute girls’ thing it has going, but it definitely improves the experience over the first season.
The other thing that helps with the improvement is one particular character: Mocha Hoto. Though she is somewhat similar to Cocoa, Mocha definitely steals the spotlight for her brief appearances. It’s a shame she’s only around for a few episodes, but it’s a case of not having too much of a good thing.
Everything else remains as it was in the first season for better or worse, and it keeps up with the yuri subtext, unlike a certain countryside slice-of-life series…
The humour is very enjoyable too, and the ending theme is so sickeningly cute.
If you’re not a fan of slice-of-life anime, then this won’t do anything for you. For those who do find it enjoyable, this season is an improvement over the first.
Greater focus on Chino and her friends, and the arrival of Mocha helps to make Is the Order a Rabbit?? (the second season) a more enjoyable experience than Is the Order a Rabbit? (the first season).
