Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic is the second season of the animated adaptation of Yui Hara’s 4-panel Kiniro Mosaic. The anime was produced Studio Gokumi, written by Yuniko Ayana and directed by Tensho. Review of the first season can be found here.
There isn’t really much more to be said about Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic that hasn’t been said in the review for Kiniro Mosaic – same characters, same cuteness, same humour. Of course, this isn’t a bad thing at all.
Akari Kuzehashi, the homeroom teacher for Class 2-A debuts in this season, and Honoka Matsubara expands upon her role from the first. They both perfectly fit in with the atmosphere, and provide potential pairings for Sakura Karasuma and Karen Kujo respectively – yep, the yuri is still very much present. Alice and Shinobu are pretty much destined to be together, and Aya is still struggling to let her true feelings for Yoko show – though Yoko is still incredibly dense about it.
Again, there isn’t really much else that can be said that hasn’t already been covered in the review of the first season. This is one of those instances where the second season equals the first.
Score: 10/10
A short review, but that’s because it’s pretty much just more of the same as the first season – which is exactly as it should be.
Exactamundo good sir. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…though it is greatly appreciated when a good thing is improved and expanded, which this season did quite well.
