A new year is almost upon us, which means a new anime season. As is par for the course, I shall be going over the various series that have piqued my interest.
Information on the season can be found at both AniChart.net and TV Tropes.
Aldnoah.Zero 2
This is the sequel to Aldnoah.Zero, which ended quite dramatically. Shouldn’t be a surprise, considering it was created by Gen Urobuchi… anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing the continuation of the story.
Aldnoah.Zero 2 is due to air from January 10 for 12 episodes.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom)
This one sounds unique. A class of students are tasked with killing their teacher before they graduate. Said teacher is a tentacled monster who will blow up Earth if the students don’t achieve their goal. Pretty high stakes, but this is a slice-of-life comedy.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is due to air from January 9th, and will last for 2 cours.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Egypt Saga
Yep, after taking a break for a season, this odd journey returns. As you may be able to tell from the title, it takes place in Egypt, which is where the heroes encounter Dio.
This is due to air from January 9th.
Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-
This is an adaptation of a browser game; one that has generated a hell of a lot of yuri fanart. I can’t say for sure how yuri-rific the content will be, but I’m still looking forward to this nonetheless.
Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- is due to air from January 7th, and will have 12 episodes.
Koufuku Graffiti (Happy Cooking Graffiti)
Every season, you will get at least one schoolgirl series adapted from a 4koma. Koufuku Graffiti is the one for this season, and it focuses on food.
Koufuku Graffiti is due to air from January 8th, and will last for 1 cour.
Rolling☆Girls
The song that plays in this PV… I freaking love it. That immediately attracted to me to this anime.
A second PV only made me look forward to this even more. Here, take a look:
Anyway, this is Wit Studio’s first original anime.
Rolling☆Girls is due to air from January 10th.
Yuri Kuma Arashi (Yuri Bear Storm)
The title pretty much covers what this anime is all about. The yuri comes from Kureha Tsubaki and Sumaka Izumino, who are lovers. There are human-eating bears, and the main character has a recurring dream featuring a “transparent storm”. I don’t know how exactly this will all fit together, but this one is my most eagerly anticipated show of the Winter 2015 season.
Yuri Kuma Arashi is due to air from January 5th, and will have 12 episodes.
Of course, I’ll still be watching One Piece and Fairy Tail (2014). Hopefully the latter will get back to canon arcs.
Leftovers from the Autumn 2014 Season are the second season of the incredible Log Horizon and the interesting Shirobako.
I’m also toying with the idea of picking up Go! Princess Precure. I’ve still got a little while to decide whether I will or not, but it’s probably likely.
