A new anime season is coming up relatively soon, so I shall engage in the usual tradition and take a look at the shows that interest me. I’m definitely looking forward to this season, as it sees the return of several series that were well worth watching. As ever, information has been acquired from TV Tropes and AniChart.net.
Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo(Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons)
A large female cast, dragons and mechs. That pretty much is all I know about this one so far, and that intrigues me. Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo is due to air from October 4th, and will go on for half a year (2 cours).
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works
Rather than just a film, the Unlimited Blade Works route is getting a full series. I enjoyed the film, so I’m expecting this to entertain me as well. Also, there will be a film for the Heaven’s Feel route. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works is due to air from October 4th.
Log Horizon 2
Log Horizon is definitely one of my favourite anime series, so I am psyched for this second season. I can’t wait to see how they expand on the fantasy world that the characters find themselves trapped in. Log Horizon 2 is due to air from October 4th, and it will have 25 episodes.
Psycho-Pass 2
A second season of arguably the greatest sci-fi anime in recent memory? Yes, please! I absolutely love the first season, I just hope this one can live up to expectations. Airing from October 9th for two cours.
selector spread WIXOSS
WIXOSS returns, picking up from where selector infected WIXOSS left off. There are plenty of unanswered questions; hopefully this series will answer them. Airing from October 3rd.
Shirobako
A series that focuses on five girls working in the anime industry. This one has piqued my curiosity, so I shall be watching it. Airing from October 9th.
Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru (Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero)
This one has captured my interest. It seems to be a slice-of-life anime. Whether the whole ‘Hero Club’ and ‘vertex’ things means that it is something more, we’ll just have to wait and see. Airing from October 16th.
This season definitely has the potential to be a great one, for me at least.
