Since the midpoint of the current season of anime has come and gone, I figured it was about time I shared my views on the series I have been watching. I’ll be keeping things short; just a few words about each show. Anyway, let’s get into it.
Ai Mai Mi ~Mousou Catastrophe~
As weird as ever. This is a weekly dose of three and a half minutes of ‘what?’.
Aldnoah.Zero
I’m really enjoying this one so far. Some pretty great action scenes, and a protagonist who can calmly analyse the situation and decide on the best tactics to use against his technologically superior foes.
Encouragement of Climb Season 2
This one is watchable, but I really don’t have much else to say about it at the moment.
Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei!
Currently, I prefer the first season to this one. It has had its moments, and there is still time for it to get better.
Hanayamata
This one is great so far. The characters are great, and their interactions are fun to watch.
Locodol
This is probably the best surprise of the season for me. I didn’t know what to expect when I started watching it, but I’m definitely glad I decided to do so.
Momo Kyun Sword
This has been little more than fanservice so far. Not much to say on this one at the moment.
Sabagebu!
Another one that I’m glad I started watching. Arguably the best comedy this season. This one consistently has me laughing out loud, and I think there should be more protagonists like Momoka.
Space Dandy Season 2
For me, the humour in this isn’t the greatest. There are a few moments I enjoy, and I do keep coming back for each episode.
Tokyo ESP
This doesn’t do anything new; people develop powers, some use them for evil, others fight said evildoers. At least the action is decent enough to watch.
Mostly enjoyable season so far. I previously said it didn’t seem that strong; I was wrong. It’s gonna be kind of tough to decide on my favourite anime of the season, but I’ll worry about that at the end of the season.
I’ve also been watching Fairy Tail, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Magica Wars and One Piece, and enjoying them all so far.
That’s all for now, but I look forward to reviewing this season’s shows. I also eagerly anticipate the Autumn season, and I will create a post about the anime I shall be watching closer to it.
