So here’s something I found fairly interesting, as reported on Anime News Network. Now, I like cats, dogs, girls, yuri and comedy, so this particular announcement piqued my interest. If I had to choose between cats or dogs, I would go for cats every time. With that irrelevant bit of information out of the way, let’s actually take a look at what the announcement was.
Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime has announced that there is to be an anime adaptation of Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san, which is a four-panel yuri gag manga by Kuzushiro. It is due to premiere in April.
The magazine also announced the cast and staff for the anime. Now, you could check the announcement out on Anime News Network, or you could just read about them here. Anyway, the cast is as follows:
Sumire Uesaka as Yachiyo Inugami
Nao Tōyama as Suzu Nekoyama
Yuka Ōtsubo as Aki Hiiragi
Sayaka Horino as Mikine Nezu
Aoi Fujimoto as Yukiji Ushikawa
Erii Yamazaki as Hibari Torikai
Shoko Nagahiro as Sora Sarutobi
Hitomi Harada as Tamaki Nekoyama
Shinpei Nagai (Hiiro no Kakera – The Tamayori Princess Saga, Psycho-Pass episode director) is directing the anime at Seven.
Character designs are being provided by Takehiro Miura (Honey and Clover, Photo Kanno key animation).
Dax Production (Fate/stay night, Durarara!!) is producing the music.
The sound director is Masakatsu Oomuro (Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, Weiß Survive), and Dream Creation (Chitose Get You!!, Sparrow’s Hotel) is producing the anime.
The story of Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san revolves around Suzu Nekoyama, who is a timid tsundere girl who loves dogs. She meets Yachiyo Inugami, a masochistic, air-headed, friendly girl who loves cats. After that meeting, the two girls become attracted to each other.
With Sakura Trick airing this season and Akuma no Riddle also starting in April, this year definitely has a lot for yuri fans to look forward to.
