Gamers are pulled into a the fantasy world of a game. A familiar concept, and comparisons to Sword Art Online have been made. I’ve only seen half of Sword Art Online, so I’m not going to make any comparisons between that and Log Horizon.
If anything, I feel that Log Horizon is what would happen if there was to ever be an Etrian Odyssey MMORPG. The character designs are fairly similar, and there are several different classes available to the players. Magic is usable, and the characters have to adjust to using the interface when trapped in the world.
I’m looking forward to more of this anime.
